| Giant Tuesday Night wins ECNY's "Best Variety Show" Award: Emerging Comics of New York | |
| "NYC's
best comedy-variety show (Cumbersome Title division)"
| | “Bask
in the deadpan lunacy of host Francisco Guglioni (alter ego of Andrés
du Bouchet) and his imaginary world.”
| | “An
endless array of ad-libs, surprise sketches and quirky bits.”
| | “Very
silly, and very funny, and a crackling way to end the night.”
| | "Giant
Tuesday Night is absolutely my favorite comedy show in the city. It's
a joy to perform there and an even bigger joy to sit in the audience and
watch the show. Everytime I go to GTN, I'm left wondering why all sketch
comedy can't be so inventive
| | “The
great thing about the show is its total originality. There's so much sketch,
stand up and improv to be seen on any given night in New York, but Andres
and his partners blend all three of these in a way that makes it new again.
The atmosphere is always congenial, and the writing is always clever.
Many shows around the city will put up one guest stand up after another
to make for a disjointed, inconsistent night, but you can always expect
steady laughs from GTN because they never neglect the show as a whole.
They work hard to make sure that every week is both cohesive, original
and funny.”
